High Speed Doors in Nanticoke

We repair, adjust and install high speed doors for warehouses, cold rooms, grocery backrooms and production floors. You get a door that cycles cleanly, seals properly and stops safely, plus photos showing what we found and what we did.

Doors that open fast and close reliably

A high speed door can cycle hundreds of times a shift. That pace is the point: it holds temperature, keeps dust and drafts out of clean areas, and lets forklifts move without waiting. It also means small wear adds up quickly. A curtain that drags in one guide or a sensor that sees ghosts will cost you energy and slow every pass through the opening.

We work on fabric roll-up doors with breakaway bottom bars and on rigid spiral and insulated panel doors used at freezers and coolers. Our approach is careful and unhurried. We trace the fault to its cause, show you what we see, and explain the repair before we start.

What we handle on high speed doors

Curtains, panels and vision windows

Torn PVC curtain sections, clouded vision windows and bent wind ribs get mended or swapped out. On rigid doors we replace damaged slats and seals so the leaf meets the floor and jambs evenly.

Breakaway recovery and side guides

After a forklift clips the curtain, we reseat it, look over the bottom edge and straighten or replace bent guides. The aim is a door that recovers on its own the next time it gets bumped.

Motor, gearbox, brake and encoder

Each part of the drive train is checked for wear. We then set the limit or encoder positions and tune open and close speeds so the door lands softly at its stops.

Sensors and safety devices

Radar and motion activators, pull cords, light curtains and safety edges are tested and aimed. The door has to reverse on an obstruction every time, so nothing is skipped here.

Freezer and cooler openings

Cold room doors lose ground at the perimeter seals, heater strips and insulated curtain. We check those first, since that is where frost and air leaks tend to begin.

Replacement doors

When a door is worn past sensible repair, we fit a new one sized to the opening and the traffic it sees. Controls and interlocks are set up to match how your dock actually runs.

Signs your high speed door needs attention

  • It opens for nothing

Phantom cycles from a misaimed or failing sensor waste conditioned air and add wear to the drive.

  • The curtain keeps coming out

Frequent breakaways, or a curtain that will not self-reset, usually point to worn guides or a damaged bottom bar.

  • Frost or condensation at the opening

Ice on the guides or a wet floor beside a cooler door means seals or heaters are not doing their job. Northeast Pennsylvania winters make this worse fast.

  • Slower, louder or uneven travel

Grinding, hesitation or a door that drifts past its stop suggests brake, encoder or bearing wear.

  • Fault codes on the control panel

Repeated codes that clear and return are worth a proper diagnosis before they become a door stuck open.

How a service visit runs

  1. 1

    Start with a phone call

Let us know which door it is, roughly how big the opening is and what you are seeing. We time the visit around your receiving windows so the opening is out of use as briefly as possible.

  2. 2

    Lockout and inspection

Once on site we lock out power to the door and go over the curtain, guides, drive and safety devices. Each fault is photographed so you can see the condition for yourself.

  3. 3

    Your decision on the fix

We lay out the options, whether that is an adjustment, a single part or a larger repair, and say which one we would choose and why. Work begins only after you approve it.

  4. 4

    Repair and test cycles

With the work done, we run the door through repeated cycles to confirm speed, stop positions and sensor response. Safety reversal is proven before the opening goes back into use.

  5. 5

    A record for your files

You receive before-and-after photos with a short note of the parts used and settings changed. It makes the next service visit or budget conversation easier.

What moves the price of the work

Every high speed door job is quoted from what that door actually needs. A sensor that only wants re-aiming is a short task, while a full curtain swap involves more labor and material. We outline the probable scope during your call, then confirm it at the inspection before any parts are ordered.

The style of door
A flexible PVC roll-up, a rigid spiral leaf and an insulated cold room door each carry their own parts list. Larger openings also mean more curtain or panel material and more hours on the lift.
Availability of parts
Common sensors and generic curtain fabric arrive quickly. A drive, controller or panel made only by the original manufacturer may take longer to come in and cost more.
Extent of impact damage
A curtain that broke away cleanly can often be reset in little time. A bent guide, cracked bottom bar or twisted header adds material and labor.
Working conditions at the opening
Very tall doors, racking close to the jambs or a freezer environment change how long the job runs and which lift we bring.

High speed door questions

Something not covered here? (570) 678-1589

Will you service a door someone else installed?

Usually, yes. We work on doors from a range of manufacturers. If a part is proprietary, we say so before ordering and give you the expected lead time.

Should we fix our older door or replace it?

When the frame and drive are solid and the trouble is a curtain, sensor or seal, a repair is normally the better spend. If failures keep stacking up, we walk you through the worn components and give you a straight answer on repair versus replacement.

How long is the door out of service during a repair?

Adjustments and sensor work usually fit in a short visit. Curtain or drive replacements take longer, so we book them for quieter periods when we can. If a part has to be ordered, we leave the opening secured until we return.

Can a high speed door work alongside our dock levelers and vehicle restraints?

Yes. Interlocks can tie the door to dock levelers or vehicle restraints so the sequence follows your safety procedure. We review that setup during installation or service.

Should high speed doors be on a maintenance schedule?

Given how often they cycle, regular checks make sense. Our loading dock preventative maintenance visits can cover your high speed doors along with overhead doors and other dock equipment.
